A bid is being made turn the Lochranza summer ferry route into a year-round service, making the island more accessible and boosting trade.
The Isle of Arran Ferry Committee want to see the Lochranza to Claonaig route become an all-yearround service with as many as seven daily sailings between the two ports – even in winter. An alternative timetable drawn up for bad weather would see three ferries a day crossing to Tarbert.
