Women across the country who have been fighting the Department for Work and Pensions for the past three years were left devastated when their complaints were suddenly and unilaterally closed just before Christmas.
The DWP has already closed more than 3,000 Women Against State Pensions Inequality (WASPI) complaints due to a successful legal action being taken by another campaigning group, the Back to 60 group. One of their barristers, Catherine Rayner, stated that there were no fewer than 60 changes to the date that a 1950s woman could get a pension.
Thousands
