The Arran Free Church of Scotland in Brodick is undergoing modernisation as contractors busy themselves renovating the church and landscaping the outdoor area.
The work, which started eight weeks ago, will see an extension of the kitchen and the addition of a small room which will be used as a community outreach area and an office become a private meeting room.
Originally built around the turn of the century, the church has a congregation of about 25 people although this number can increase to more than 40 during the holiday season.
