A new home for Arran’s polar bear

When we left Arranlast weekend at the end of a great family holiday, we seemed to have gained an extra member of the party. Winter, a large polar bear, could not produce a ticket for the ferry when CalMacemployee Tamsin Rawlings asked to see it as we lined up in the queue of cars waiting to board.

When we explained how we had acquired this extra passenger, and she saw how cuddly he was, she let him on free of charge.

We had been to Corrie and Sannox Fete on Tuesday July 12. The polar bear was on a ‘guess my birthday’ stall, and the closest guess was made by Rev Angus Adamson. But he must have recognised the longing look on our granddaughter Beth’s face, and he passed on his prize.
