Shop Arran is a sparkling success

Shops on Arran were bustling with festive cheer last week and the tills were ringing too.

The annual Shop Arran weekend was held two weeks earlier this year and shoppers and shopkeepers alike seem to agree that the move was worthwhile.

There was a real Christmas atmosphere in the shops and adding to the merriment were glasses of fizz, mulled wine, nibbles and sweets.
