Commemorative exhibition to be held for Arran artist

A commemorative art exhibition of artist and printmaker Stephen Gill’s works is to launch at Arran Active in Brodick on Wednesday July 6 and will run until the end of August.

Open to public viewing, the exhibition of Stephen’s work will feature a variety of prints and paintings, alongside examples of his printing work.

Born in Durham England, Stephen spent most of his life on Arran, working at St Columba’s Gallery in Whiting Bay, which was started by his parents in 1955. For decades he created and printed letterheads, business cards and other branded materials for a variety of local businesses.
