New fish bar and deli planned for Corrie

Corrie is set to have its own fish bar and deli.

Gordon Decaestecker, who previously ran The Black Grouse restaurant in Blackwaterfoot, has applied for planning permission to change the use of The Rock Pool from retail to a hot-and-cold food takeaway.

The application is under consideration by North Ayrshire Council planning officials. The new outlet would be called the Mara fish bar and deli. ‘Mara’ comes from the Scots Gaelic word meaning ‘the sea’.
