A Belgian beer-tasting night has raised £200 for the Christmas festival Santa’s Sparkle being organised, for the first time, by a Lamlash community group.
Hosted by Belgian beer enthusiast Stephen Sparshott and his wife Katharine, along with Derek Morgan, the event brought people from all over the island to enjoy, discuss and appreciate the variety of beers on offer.
The event, which was limited to 30 people, took place at the Glenisle Hotel with Arran Distillery providing suitable glassware. In addition to these supporters, Wooleys provided oatcakes for cleansing of the palette between beers. James of Arran Chocolate Shop and the Arran Cheese Shop also provided donations of their products.
