Creelers Restaurant and smokehouse has closed its doors on Arran and moved to the Kintyre village of Skipness where a new purpose-built smokehouse has been built. The business which was established in 1990, and the smokehouse shortly after that in 1993, was located at Home Farm in Brodick but the lease on the property has expired and the owners no longer wish to renew it.
The Skipness Smokehouse has been built on the Skipness Estate by Creelers owner, Tim James.
Tim James, who own Creelers with wife Fran, said: ‘We are sad to leave Arran but we are not very far away at all. We are just a short ferry ride away where we have returned to the family farm and restaurant at Skipness. We will continue to supply our loyal customers on Arran both through the Coop and our delivery van.’
