Stagecoach hold-up

Four years ago during the ‘bus fuss’, Arran Transport lost the school’s four-year bus contract to Western Scottish. Things have moved on since then and now that Stagecoach has taken over from Western and the contract is about to expire, its bid has met an obstacle.

Each bus driver at Stagecoach received this week a redundancy notice. John Murray of Stagecoach said that the letter was standard and that if Stagecoach got the contract all drivers would be re-employed.
