After being guests of Corrie and Sannox SWI at its Auld Year’s night celebrations, Lamlash institute held its own Scottish night the following week.
After business was dealt with, Mary gave the Selkirk Grace and members sat down to a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by magnificent individual portions of Arran Gold creme brûlée, made by Nan. These were set in teacups with accompanying raspberries and homemade shortbread on the saucer. They were a feast for the eye as well as the palate. The attractive table settings complimented the meal. Alison had organised a fun quiz on Scotland with Mary, Liz and Janet the winners.
