Jazmin Sawyers: delighted to take champs silver for the fourth summer in a row
A 6.94m second-round jump proved sufficient for the title but surprisingly it was only by eight centimetres.
For the fourth successive year, Britain’s Jazmin Sawyers won a silver medal at a major championships, but this was more of a surprise as she jumped a windy 6.86m in round three to easily finish clear of bronze medallist Malaika Mihimbo of Germany, who jumped 6.65m.
