CALLUM FARRELL, 21, DRAMA STUDENT, LIVERPOOL
The first time I went to a gay bar, I was 16. The only gay friend I had at the time was a lesbian called Bailey, who stood at a conspicuous 6ft tall. We had decided to go to the cinema that night to watch Snow White and the Huntsman (Kristen Stewart gave Bailey “butterflies in her pants”).
After tedious bus delays, we arrived late and were refused entry to the cinema. Bailey had a back-up plan, though, and presented me with the daring idea of getting the bus back to Doncaster town centre and going for drinks at a gay bar called Crystals.
