Irecently went to LA and while there, as usual, I piled on the calories just about every time and everywhere we ate out. In the end, needing to take drastic action, I did the (almost) unthinkable and found a vegan restaurant. I’ve never really thought about veganism before but figured that if Beyoncé can do it, maybe I should give it a try.
I should confess, though, that this was no ordinary vegan choice. The restaurant served Impossible Burgers, a vegan take on the classic dish, where the patty contains an ingredient called heme, which makes it not only taste like meat, but also look, smell and even bleed like meat! For the first time ever, it made me believe that me being vegan might not be such an absurd idea.
