10 ways to reduce your food footprint
Jake Stones shares the best ways to cut back on waste
Behind every item of food that ends up on your plate, there’s a story which involves energy resource and a carbon footprint. Naturally, if such food becomes waste, then there’s an unnecessary energy expense – it’s the planetary equivalent of burning money. Simply put, food waste is caused by excess leftovers or uneaten food. It can decompose, however the overall issue doesn’t break down quite so easily.
