2019 BOWMAN CHROME PETE ALONSO ROOKIE CARD #48

Pete Alonso has had multiple Bowman Chrome cards before. But those all fall under the “Prospect” insert realm. This is his first as part of a main base set so it gets the RC tag. That said, it’s bound to be a largely overlooked card because when people think Pete Alonso and Bowman Chrome, they’re going to gravitate towards his 2016 autograph.

Part of the anthology-style Panini Chronicles release, the 2019 Certified Pete Alonso is highlighted by bright foil stock. It becomes particularly apparent with its parallel colors.

2019 DONRUSS PETE ALONSO ROOKIE CARD #255

Part of an expansion to the original 2019 Donruss set, this card is actually found in packs of 2019 Panini Chronicles Baseball, an anthology release that brings together a lot of brands, most of which don’t have standalone sets of their own this season. It’s part of the Rated Rookie subset and carries with it the familiar icon.

2019 DONRUSS OPTIC PETE ALONSO ROOKIE CARD #82

2019 Donruss Optic Baseball puts a chromium spin on the main Donruss release, at least mostly. Alonso isn’t in the original 2019 Donruss so this makes it stand out a little more. The parallel lineup is massive with lots of colors and a new pattern called Pandora introduced to the line by Panini.

The roots of the Limited brand in the early ’90s brought with it a super premium (for the time) design. That’s not so much the case here, although it comes with ample white space giving it a more traditional approach than most of the other Alonso cards in Chronicles.
