USA BASEBALL ALUMNI DOMINATE DRAFT’S FIRST ROUND
What a night for USA Baseball alumni on July 17, as the organization dominated the first round of the 2022 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
A total of 20 former USA Baseball players were selected in the first round, including first-overall pick Jackson Holliday, a high school shortstop taken by the Baltimore Orioles. The Arizona Diamondbacks then selected high school outfielder Druw Jones, who, like Holliday, is the son of a former major leaguer.
