As we move into November, Scotland will host the 26th Conference of Parties (COP26) which, more than any of its predecessors, has a sense of crisis about it. The human race has begun to realise the effects of its profligacy with Earth's resources and, fearful of the consequences of climate change, wants to set an agenda for the arrest and repair of the damage caused. The irony of the emission of vast amounts of CO2 in getting around 30,000 delegates to Glasgow from all around the world, let alone the volume of hot air that will be produced during the proceedings, seems to be lost on the organisers, but we wish them well, nevertheless.
The fact is, Earth does not belong to us: it is the Lord's, and He has already set its agenda for repair. It will happen as He inaugurates His glorious Millennial Kingdom. We touch on aspects of climate change and global warming in this issue of BM, but we can be absolutely sure of this - the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof … read on!

Believer is a monthly magazine designed to edify the Christian with sound, biblical teaching, as well as stimulate interest in the spread of the Gospel. Formerly called Believer’s Magazine (1891-2023), each issue of Believer contains a variety of articles that are expositional, devotional and practical. There are obituaries of Christians recently deceased, as well as announcements of forthcoming meetings throughout Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Some reports of past meetings are included.

Believer strives to continually uphold the fundamentals of Scripture, both in the confirmation of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the affirmation of truth pertaining to the local assembly.
