RICHARD COMMEY will take a step closer to achieving his world title dream in 2016 after the IBF confirm he will compete in a final eliminator for their lightweight title – currently held by Rances Barthelemy – in 2016.
The unbeaten Ghanaian, who fought in Britain in 2013-14 but has largely been avoided, said: “It means everything to me to fight in a final eliminator as it brings me one step closer to my dream of becoming world champion. Once I win the world title, all those boxers who didn’t want to fight me will have no choice if they have any ambition.”
