Sarah and John Stupart have recently completed construction of their new self build home using structural insulated panels (SIPs). After finding a stunning site on the edge of open countryside near Fyvie in Scotland, they explored options for how to achieve their goal. “We set out with the aim for a lowmaintenance, low-energy house with a sleek modern look that was easy to live in,” says Sarah. After ample research, they selected a Caber House model Type B. The Stuparts personalised the design by altering the internal layout, adding a ground floor master suite, utility and pantry, plus a large sunroom to capture the surrounding views.
