MCCORKINDALE - The family of the late Thomas Buchanan McCorkindale would like to thank all for their kind messages and cards after their recent loss of Tom. Grateful thanks to all doctors and nurses on the Acute Ward, and to carers and support staff who helped immensely over the last few months. We would also like to thank Rev William Crossan for a very appropriate service, David McEwan for the music, Alasdair, Kenneth and Rhys Blair for their professionalism and guidance and all at the Ardshiel for an excellent purvey. Finally, much appreciation to all who gave generously to the collection for the Highland Parish Church.
MUNRO - The family of the late Frances Munro would like to say thank you to family, friends and neighbours for letters, cards, phone calls, visits, flowers and home baking following their recent sad loss. They would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and all staff in Ward B of Lorn and the Islands Hospital for their dedication in caring for Mum and the kindness shown to the family;
Jennifer Foote and her staff at the Lynne of Lorne for looking after Mum so well in her short time with them; Reverend Roderick Campbell for an uplifting service; Ethel McCallum for the music, Gordon Shaw for piping, Scottish Heather Shop for lovely floral tributes, George Hotel for the excellent purvey, and Roddy and Fiona of Donald MacDonald Funeral Directors for their sensitive handling of the funeral arrangements and their help and guidance. Lastly to all who paid their respects at the church and graveside. The amount of £650 was collected and will be divided between the church and the Macmillan Unit at Oban Hospital.
