Hot and tired but still smiling, Dunaverty’s Heidbangers enjoyed playing Carradale
A party of Dunaverty’s Heidbangers may have thought they were in the Sahara when they played Carradale in blistering sunshine. Thecourse, which had been well prepared by greenkeeper Robert Strang, proved to be quite a challenge over the two rounds.
Danny Halliday, playing in a freshening breeze which alleviated the heat, led after the first nine with 18 points, one clear of Sandy Watson, Bruce Robertson and Willie Young.
