THE SURFER who drifted for 32 hours in the Atlantic Ocean has voyaged to Kintyre to collect the surfboard which saved his life.
IT technician Matthew Bryce, 23, is still off work recovering but visited Campbeltown with messages of thanks.
Speaking to the Courier, Mr Bryce described meeting the RNLI and Coastguard crews who helped save him as a happy moment. He said: ‘Part of me expected to be chastised for getting washed out to sea but they were nothing but gracious and welcoming. It was very good to get the opportunity to say thank you.’
