Car gutted by fire on B842

FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a burning car on the B842 near Southend.

The driver and a passenger managed to get out uninjured during the incident last Sunday afternoon at 3.20pm.

Police closed the road for about 50 minutes before reopening one lane. It is thought the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
