DVLA FAILURES LEAVE PRE-1960 CARS UNTAXED
Problems affecting the zero-rated VED on MoTexempt classics prevent owners from renewing. An ongoing problem with the online VED system is resulting in owners of pre-1960 MoT-exempt classics being unable to renew their annual zero-rated tax. The knock-on effect of the ongoing problems with the DVLA’s computer systems is that cars are showing up untaxed and un-MoT’d, which could leave them potentially uninsured if used on the road for any length of time.
