THREE WEEKS TO AXE CLASSIC CAR SCRAPPAGE
Enthusiasts have just three weeks left to sign a petition calling on the Government to make it illegal for historic vehicles to be processed through
scrappage schemes. It would mean that any car that is classed as a Vehicle of Historic Interest (VHI) on its V5 would be blocked from being crushed and clubs could save the car or its parts. The Government will be forced to respond to the petition – which currently has more than nine thousand two hundred signatures – if it reaches ten thousand signatures before 21 June. The topic will be considered for debate in Parliament if it gains more than one hundred thousand supporters.
