We can get ready for an Eighties supergroup thanks to Gary Barlow. The Take That man is curating the soundtrack to a new movie, Eddie The Eagle, and he has reportedly been talking to Alison Moyet, OMD, ABC, Ultravox, Howard Jones and Spandau Ballet about contributing music both new and old for the project, which is based (roughly) on the story of the endearingly ropey ski jumper who represented Britain during the Eighties. Producer Matthew Vaughn revealed, “Gary has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. He knows a lot of the participants and has a great knowledge of the music of the Eighties.”
