Hailed as the High Priestess of Punk, Toyah Willcox embarked on a twin-pronged career in the late 70s, mixing acting roles at the National Theatre with releasing punk albums such as her debut, Sheep Farming In Barnet. Her film appearances included the iconic Quadrophenia, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. She burst into the pop mainstream with her 1981 EP Four From Toyah which included her signature song It’s A Mystery and reached No. 4 in the singles chart. A run of hits followed including I Want To Be Free, Thunder In The Mountains and Brave New World. This year saw her return to the album chart with an enhanced version of her 2008 release In The Court Of The Crimson Queen.
