Dancing Times  |  April 2016
It was nice for the Dancing Times team to meet so many of you, our readers, at the latest edition of MOVE IT, the exhibition for all things dance that was held this year at ExCeL from March 18 to 20 and where we had a stand. We gave away 6,000 free copies of the magazine over the weekend, which were all snatched up by lunchtime on the final day, and our Dancing Times badges also proved a hit!
We aim to bring you the very best in dance each month, and this issue is no exception, as you will find an array of interviews, articles and reviews we hope will keep you intrigued and entertained. These include Russian ballerina Ekaterina Borchenko talking to Igor Stupnikov, and Natascha Karabey, ballroom’s “professionals’ professional”, interviewed by Alison Gallagher-Hughes. In addition, Nicola Rayner meets former Strictly choreographer Kele Baker, Paul Arrowsmith talks to the chief executives of some of the UK’s leading dance companies, and Jane Pritchard highlights an exciting exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum that focuses on dance and costume. We also report on the West End openings of Mrs Henderson Presents and Motown the Musical, as well as dance performances taking place in the UK and across the globe.
