We have been really pleased with the comments so far about the newly integrated Dancing Times and Dance Today magazines. Perhaps inevitably, there have been a few grumbles, but on the whole the response has been very positive from both readers and advertisers alike. Once again, this month’s magazine is packed full of interviews, news and reviews. On page 21, Alison Gallagher-Hughes profi les top UK Latin dancers Ryan McShane and Ksenia Zsikhotska, Nicola Rayner joins in the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of Simply Dancing Partners on page 33, and on page 76 Phil Meacham reports on the 2015 International Championships held last month at Brentford and London’s Royal Albert Hall. On the ballet front, on page 17 Gerald Dowler talks to seven of the UK’s leading male dancers who have left the country to work abroad, Luke Jennings interviews ballerina Antoinette Sibley about her early training and career with The Royal Ballet on page 37, and in Dance Scene we review performances by Birmingham Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet and The Royal Ballet. In addition, Barbara Newman enjoys the stage musical Kinky Boots in Variety Lights on page 41, which has just arrived in the West End from Broadway, and on page 28 Graham Watts meets Hu Wenge, a star of China’s Peking Opera, which will be performing in Liverpool and London later this month. As you can see, there’s a lot to read; we hope you enjoy it!

Dancing Times

I think more contemporary dance reviews and dance artists from this discipline are missing. I love the magazine, it only seems to cover mainly ballet and ballroom. Reviewed 15 August 2020

Great read??

Amazing product and is so lovely to read about our current dancers and choreographers!! Reviewed 28 January 2019
