Do you know a food writer of the future?

The annual Guild of Food Writers competition to discover young food writing talent, Write It, opens for entries on 7 January. Budding Nigels and Nigellas are invited to write about ‘food for sharing’, in any style or genre. A star judging panel, including (from left) chef and actor Lisa Faulkner, fiction writer Sherry Ashworth, broadcaster Stefan Gates, food campaigner Kalpna Woolf and delicious. editor Karen Barnes, will pore over the entries. Winners in each of the three age categories (10 and under, 11-14 and 15-18) will receive a £100 book token and a box of apples from competition partner Pink Lady, as well as the chance to attend a winners’ lunch in London with the judges.
