THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST

Directed by Desiree Akhavan

The year is 1993, and Cameron Post (Chloë Grace Moretz) is caught having sex with the prom queen, Coley Taylor (Quinn Shephard). Enter Post’s conservative aunt and uncle, her legal guardians, who force her into a gay conversion therapy centre. Based on Emily Danforth’s book of the same name from 2012, the film has been creating something of a buzz in the run up to festival season, with some describing it as a darker version of But I’m A Cheerleader. It’s been four years since Desiree Akhavan’s last directorial offering (Appropriate Behaviour) so we’re very glad to have her back – and really excited for this coming-of-age story to hit the big screen.
