COUNTRYSIDE PRIDE?

Flicking through DIVA’s Pride Issue (June), I find myself once again craving the excitement of London’s Pride. I used to live in London and Pride was the highlight of my year; since leaving I returned each year to connect with my community. However, over the last couple of years I have settled with my partner and labrador in our countryside paradise and it’s not feasible to travel to London. So how do you get the same feeling of community, acceptance and Pride outside of our big cities? We are very happy in our community and are included and welcomed, but still I crave those community get-togethers, as well as being able to come together in solidarity when our community is threatened. How do we become more visible in the countryside?
