Heather Peace has pretty much been the one constant in my lesbian “career”, ever since her character Nikki Boston asked Lorraine Donnegan out for a drink in a 2013 episode of Waterloo Road. If not the exact moment I realised I was gay, it was certainly thefirst time I’d known lesbianism as anything other than a scandalous rumour about my PE teacher. From a quick Google search of Heather’s name, I was led to watch Lip Service, and then The L Word, and then basically anything that had two women kissing in it, before I plucked up the courage to start kissing women myself.
