The Evil of The Daleks

WHILE IN LONDON IN 1966, THE TARDIS IS STOLEN. A series of clues to its whereabouts lead the Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon to a suspicious antiques shop, where the stock is all Victorian, yet brand new. Investigating a hidden room, they are gassed unconscious and transferred through time. They awake in the country house of Theodore Maxtible in 1866.

Experimenters with time travel, Maxtible and his colleague Edward Waterfield are in the power of the Daleks, who hold Waterfield’s daughter Victoria hostage. It was the Daleks’ time machine that had established the link to 1966.

About Doctor Who Magazine

The Doctor has always challenged the linear conception of time. Since his television voyage began in 1963, the TARDIS has travelled backwards, forwards and even sideways through the mysterious Vortex. This lavish publication traces the development of these time-bending narratives, describing the rules that were laid down – and subsequently revised – by the series’ writers and producers. We unravel this timey-wimey journey with exclusive interviews, rare images and revealing features that explore the most intriguing corners of the Doctor Who universe.
