Dolls House and Miniature Scene  |  DHMS Jul 10 (Iss 193)
Turning your childhood memories into miniatures or even your working environment into miniature appears to be very popular within this hobby.
We have, for example, Jane Hamilton’s project on p26. Jane works in Harrogate’s oldest picture framer’s shop and her miniature scene captures some of the atmosphere of the workshop.
Now this feature made me laugh, ‘Women Celebrating Life after Fifty’ on p52. Well that counts me in! What fabulous characters with captions so perfect. Let me know what you think to these!
We have a delightful project for a spring time dolls house in 1/48th scale. Daffodil House was inspired by the purchase of three daffodil tea light holders would you believe (p54). It’s amazing what sparks the imagination in miniature!
Sue Johnson continues her informative costume construction articles, this one focusing on the Regency period.
