Essential Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Magazine January 2015 Back Issue

10 Reviews   •  English   •   Family & Home (Home Interest)
The hustle and bustle of the holiday
season always pulls focus on your home
- and if you’re anything like me this
means you’ll now be writing lists! From
little kitchen and bathroom shopping
projects (‘how do I not have a decent set
of knives, and where have all my good
glasses gone?’) to bigger design ideas for
the whole house (that guest bedroom,
kitchen extension, kitchen pantry idea...)
there’s suddenly so much to think about.
In fact, as the festivities wind down you’ll
usually find me tearing out interiors
articles, making notes for new places to
shop and poring over Instagram for
lust-worthy houses that I bookmark for
future reference. So what to do with all of the fresh ideas gathering momentum in my head? One way to start is with a moodboard, and I began mine in this issue of ekbb; see page 70 for our In the Mood feature which might inspire you to do something similar. A new year hinges just as much on going back and collating past ideas as it does on looking forward to new concepts and trends, and we feel we’ve had a little glimpse of what a future kitchen might look like in Andrew Hayes’ decadent design of the Fourth Wall concept kitchen for Poggenpohl in Drama Scene (page 40). Meanwhile, staff writer Lucy Macdonald has compiled a fascinating round-up of the tech innovations that are hitting your home now. See Future Trends on page 82. New kitchen inspiration almost always comes from homeowners and designers, and this issue has so many stand-out projects with which to fall in love. Pure and Simple (page 22) epitomises small spaces and stylish family living, while another cleverly configured city family house which maximises space and light is featured in No Place like Home (page 30). I also loved the elegant bathroom scheme by designer Thomas Griem in Hidden Haven (page 94).

Best value interiors mag!

I have been planning my new kitchen and home renovation for quite some time, it seemed to be taking ages to find quality inspiration and I bought so many different magazine trying to get ideas, until I downloaded an issue of EKBB. It was brilliant, there is so much inside and now I've got plans to renovate the whole house! It's real value for money and now I've got a subscription too! Reviewed 19 July 2013
