Dangerous Brod Wilson

It's taken all year to get to this stage, but the ZX-6R's finally sorted... just in time for winter. Well, almost. There are two rounds of the No Limits Racing series left to go, with Brands first before rounding the job off at Donington. I'm looking forward to them both, especially because of the recent work we've done to the Kwacker.

For those who've followed my column, you'll know the year's been anything but plain sailing. It's been an epic learning curve that has proven both costly and painful along the way, but we're still here and the fight to get back on the podium's burning hotter than ever. Since my last outing at Cadwell, which kind of went to plan, I've not had chance to get out and ride the bike because it's been continuously passed from one workshop to the next.

We've been running an awesome sounding Two Brothers Racing (TBR) system on the bike, which has recently been sent away to be fettled. Because the old motor got mullered in a crash at Silverstone, we had to buy a new engine for Cadwell which not only came complete with a relentless water leak, but also a meagre 118bhp. When TBR heard the news, the guys set about making me a custom system to give me a few more ponies. And that's just what they've done. All I know is the pipe's got longer and the power's up by an extra 4bhp. And the news gets better because we've also fitted an MWR air filter, which is set to crank the power up further.
