Nestled in the sumptuous green hills above Belfast is a network of country roads that make up one of the best loved pure road race circuits in the world. The seven-and-a-half-mile track is the Dundrod circuit where the famous Ulster Grand Prix is held and, up until Peter Hickman’s scintillating outright lap record of 135.452mph in this year’s Senior TT, it held the accolade of being the fastest road race in the world.

It’s fair to say the event has had its ups and downs in recent times with financial pressures as well as climatic ones testing there solve of the organizers Dundrod & District Motor Club with clerk of the course Noel Johnston at the helm, but he remains as enthusiastic as ever for the event which this year celebrates its 96th year –making it Ireland’s oldest road race.

“It has already been an incredible season for international road racing and what better way to conclude it than at Dundrod. We’ve seen records smashed and incredibly close finishes and I cannot wait to see what the 7.4011 circuit has in store,” said Johnston.
