Only €5,99
The brand new October issue of FlyPast is an extended, 132-page special, focusing on RAF Fighter Command and featuring a special Spotlight section on legendary German transport plane the Junkers Ju 52. We present four features looking back on various aspects of Fighter Command’s long history, including the role of French pilots in the Battle of Britain, and the use of Canadair Sabres with the RAF after the war. Meanwhile our Spotlight section features exclusive artwork and rarely seen images of the three-engined ‘Tante Ju’.

DELTA DAGGERS
Convair F-102 pilot Joe Gano describes a hectic day testing his mettle against a Lightning and a Phantom.

B-25 ALIVE
US photographer Moose Peterson goes air-to-air with the Texas Flying Legends Museum’s superb North American B-25J Mitchell ‘Betty’s Dream’, and looks back at the history of this machine.

MESSERSCHMITT TWO-SEATER
Richard Paver examines a newly restored Messerschmitt Bf 109G with a difference – this one is built for two.

SPITFIRE WORKSHOP
Darren Harbar reports from Old Warden where Spitfire V AR501 is gradually being returned to flight.

DUXFORD VETERANS
Men who served at Duxford in the 1950s reflect on their time at the base, and on flying the Gloster Meteor jet.

We also visit the Geneseo airshow in New York and present the best of the airshow action from the UK. Mikhail Timin examines 24 hours of intense air combat as the Russians tried to stem the tide of Operation Barbarossa in World War Two, while we reflect on a machine from the war that is often forgotten, the AW Albermarle. We also bring you news of another Mosquito that’s set to fly in New Zealand.

Digital subscription for Flypast magazine

I have purchased the Flypast magazine for many years and generally as a hard copy. However, for the last couple of years l have subscribed annually to the digital version and now read on my iPad.
The magazine is great and I always find the content interesting and varied and never bored with the topics covered. Whilst previously enjoying the hard copy l am now a devoted digital subscriber and would recommend this version. On the downside you miss out on add ons such as calendars etc.
