When I was very young – long before I could actually joke about being 39, because I’d yet to pass that age – I travelled from my home in Scotland to see the filming of the first episode of series three of Absolutely Fabulous, at BBC TV Centre in London. And let me tell you, although my memory is terrible these days, I can still vividly recall the scenes that didn’t make it to the final show. So by my reckoning, there’s a ton of material in an archive somewhere that could be made into extended cuts…
