IF I HAD A POUND for every time I’ve heard someone tell me they follow the Department of Health’s Eatwell Guide in principle, yet can’t shift weight (or they actually gain it) while slavishly tucking into wholegrain carbs and salmon, I’d be in the Bahamas, writing under a palm tree. I am, however, penning this on a grey day in London and, while nobody did relinquish a pound while unloading their healthy eating issues, I can say there’s a brightside to this piece.
