This new year, we're not suggesting you embark on a full-on fitness regime, or the latest trendy weight-loss diet. Of course, if the time feels right for you to train for a marathon this year, or you’re determined to fit back into that favourite old dress, then that’s great – go for it (and you’ll find plenty of expert content to help you reach those goals on our website, healthy-magazine.co.uk). But with everything that’s (still) going on, and the stress that accompanies all the continued uncertainty, this issue we’re hunkering down a little and giving our mental wellbeing the attention it deserves. Our new year feature, from page 18, is all about finding out what’s right for you in 2022, and how to make it happen – along with giving yourself a large dose of kindness. I hope it resonates with you as it did with the healthy team.
Elsewhere, we’re also taking a good look at
our gut health. While we’re understanding more and more about the importance of the gut, and how it’s linked to so much else, from skin to sleep, there’s also still no shortage of embarrassment and confusion when it comes to addressing our own gut issues. Our tailored solutions, from page 32, aim to clear this up with some simple, practical and personal advice. We’ve also got some delicious recipes from Dr Megan Rossi, aka the Gut Health Doctor, from page 80, which focus on the delicious ingredients you can add in for a happy gut.

A mature magazine with comprehensive advice

I really enjoy the content of Healthy, as it covers a wide range of health issues comprehensively, and inspires me to live a healthier life. Being an avid cook, I love the healthy recipes, which are always innovative and give me great vegan and vegetarian options to try. The celeb interviews are done with style and energy, and I'm always left inspired to take on their advice. Living a hectic life, it's hard to always be as healthy as I'd like to, but Healthy mag gives me the tools I need to feel as good as I can. Always feel positive after reading. Love this mag and will continue to subscribe. Reviewed 06 July 2017

Vapid fluff but worth it for the vouchers

This magazine doesn't have a lot of content. It can be interesting to flick through, but there isn't really much substance. However, if you're buying anything in Holland & Barrett, it can work out much cheaper to buy this first to use the vouchers inside. Reviewed 03 June 2017
