‘I have oily, acne-prone skin. Due to some of the treatments I use to reduce oil production and target spots, my skin can sometimes be sensitive.’

MY GO-TO PRODUCTS

‘My regimen is pretty fixed and based on a handful of ingredients, including AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) and retinoids at night. I like using active ingredients before bed and while I sleep as this is the time skin tends to repair and regenerate. First, I’ll remove my make-up with micellar water, then wash my face with either an oily skin gel cleanser or a foaming wash containing the AHA glycolic acid, which is an effective exfoliant. It brightens skin and has anti-ageing properties as it can help remove pigmentation. Next, I use a pea-sized amount of retinol serum or prescription-strength retinoid, depending on how sensitive my skin is feeling. Retinoid products aid skin cell turnover, remove pigmentation and can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles.’
