Five years ago I was diagnosed with intolerances to so many ingredients that I used to eat every day, including garlic, onions, gluten and dairy. I was forced to change my diet and that didn’t sit well with me. Finding free-from treats was near to impossible at the time, so I spotted a gap in the market. I decided to set up a company that made free-from, delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.
Food has always been such a passion of mine. I have vivid memories of spending time after school in the kitchen with my mum, learning how to make diferent dishes. Everything in my family has always revolved around food, which is why I found it so tough to see a nutritionist when I realised certain foods were making me unwell.
It is so diicult to understand the supply chain of the produce we buy in supermarkets. How can I trace where the groceries I’m picking up in the major retailers have come from? The current lack of visibility is worrying.
