DRONES, defined as any vehicle, ship, aircraft, or hybrid system which is remotely or autonomously controlled, may be top of the xmas wish list for many Scots this year, but if you are about to become a new drone pilot, you must be aware of both new legislation and of the new drat standards which were published on 21st November 2018 by the International Standards Organisation, (ISO) on safety, regulatory compliance and etiquette for public consultation, with drone professionals, academics, businesses and the general public being invited to submit comments by 21 Jan 2019 with final adoption of these Standards expected in the US, UK and worldwide in 2019.
