To Vape or not to Vape?

VAPING, the use of battery powered inhalers designed to permit the inhalation of nicotine, cannabinoids and similar substances, was introduced to Scotland and the UK in 2007. For many smokers it has been a useful means to bypass the strict anti-smoking laws, even though banned in many workplaces. Vaping and e-cigarettes have been considered to be safer than conventional tobacco smoking, by curtailing the inhalation of the toxic chemicals such as cyanide, ammonia, carbon dioxide and tar found in tobacco smoke. However, many countries, such as India, Brazil and the Seychelles have now banned vaping due to the lack of information on its long-term effects, and potential links now being seen between vaping and serious lung disease.
