EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – Jubilant separatists took to the streets of the Scottish capital last night as partial election results suggested First Minister Bruce Reid’s pro-independence Scottish National Party (SNP) had swept to a historic seventh consecutive term in office. The popular BBC psephological hologram “Curtice” projected at 3.25am local time that the SNP would capture 57 seats in the 129-seat parliament, well ahead of the second-placed hardline anti-separatist Conservatives, who were estimated to be on course for 34 seats.
