Wanst upon a time there wis a young lassie cried Arachne who lived in a wee village wi her da – he wis a shepherd. Before her mammy died she taught wee Arachne tae weave, and by the time she became a young wumman, Arachne wis a magic weaver. There wis nuthin she couldny make.
She’d sit at her loom fae morning tae night, shuttle flying back an furrit in a blur, creatin things like ye couldny even imagine. Claes, blankets, rugs – you name it. People came fae miles aroon jist tae watch her, amazed at the beautiful things she turned oot, tellin her how brilliant she wis.
