Will Jennifer Lopez swap the glitz of New York for a quiet life in an Italian village?
It seems altogether possible that ‘Jenny from the block’ could one day exchange that block for a ‘borgo’, as the American pop diva Jennifer Lopez revealed in a Vanity Fair interview that she dreams of living a simple life in a small Italian town. Since the singer and actress made the statement, she has been courted by mayors from historic hill-towns and rural villages across Italy, vying to prove that they have what J-Lo is looking for. “I would love to live somewhere other than the United States, in a small town in Italy, or on the other side of the world, in Bali”, Lopez told the magazine. “To find another life where it’s a little bit more simple and organic and where I get to ride a bike, and buy bread, and put it in my basket, and then go home and put jelly (jam) on it, and just eat and paint.” Officials from Tuscany, Sardinia and Lazio are among those to have claimed that their towns have the requisite peace, privacy and beauty required to woo the star to Italian shores.
